I wanted to share a couple of videos that were made for us by some great Kiwi kids.
Lime Hills school was one of two Southland schools that performed at the send-off for the Our Far South voyage at the Invercargill Museum in February, the day we all set sail for Antarctica. This is the school performing again on the final night of the OFS Roadshow at the Invercargill workingmen’s club. The song they are singing is an Op Shop song they have changed the lyrics to for our voyage.
Room 10 Otatara school also performed their Waiata at both the voyage send off in February and the Roadshow final night. Room 10 also presented Gareth with a cheque for $560 raised by the class. An absolutely amazing effort from a small group of passionate kids. They also had erected a plaque in the school field that featured all the names of the OFS Crew. Brilliant! Thanks heaps kids.
Good to know we have some great youngsters being environmental ambassadors out there.
